Background
Based in the Bay of Plenty, Hayes International is one of the world’s top manufacturers of metal rollforming equipment and a huge Kiwi success story. The company has been in business for more than 60 years and has close to 100 full-time employees.
Challenge
A stable workforce is important to Hayes International, because it takes time and money to train new employees. For Marion Clarricoats, Human Resources Manager at Hayes, finding tangible benefits for employees is an important mission for several reasons.
Solution
When Marion discovered the Boost employee benefits programme, she was keen to give it a try.
All full-time employees were invited to join the programme when Boost was first launched at Hayes in 2019.
For new employees an invitation to join Boost is extended once they’re through a three-month probation period. Marion says this allows her to communicate the benefits of Boost when new people have fully settled in and are through the ‘information overload’ that happens at the start of employment.
Results
Hayes International joined Boost in 2019 and Marion is pleased with the results.
Of all the benefits offered by the Boost programme, Hayes International employees particularly enjoy getting discounts from Carters, Pit Stop, PlaceMakers, Specsavers and Plumbing World.
